Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Madhubani Paint website madhubanipaint.com and our Android app, and when you buy from us. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Who we are

Madhubani Paint sells handmade Mithila (Madhubani) paintings created by artists from Bihar. Our Android app is published on Google Play by Abhishek Jha on behalf of Madhubani Paint; all sales made through the website and the app are made by the seller below.

2. Your account

You need an account to place an order. Give accurate details and keep your password private — you're responsible for activity on your account. You must be 18 or older to buy, or buy with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You can delete your account at any time; see Delete your account.

3. Our paintings

Every painting is made by hand, so colours, lines and sizes can vary slightly from the photos, and colours may look different on different screens. These variations are part of handmade art and are not defects. Most paintings are one of a kind; stock shown on the site is updated as orders are placed, but an item can occasionally sell out at the same moment you order it.

4. Prices and payment

• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are the full amount you pay. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged. Shipping within India is free.
• Payments are processed securely by Razorpay (cards, UPI, net banking, wallets). We never see or store your card or bank details.
• Your order is confirmed once the payment is verified. If a painting turns out to be unavailable or was listed at a clearly wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

5. Shipping, cancellation and returns

We ship across India — see the Shipping Policy. You can cancel before dispatch, and we replace or refund paintings that arrive damaged or wrong — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Artwork and content

The paintings, photos, designs and text on the site and app belong to Madhubani Paint and its artists. Buying a painting gives you ownership of that physical artwork, not the right to copy, print or sell reproductions of it. Please don't reuse our content without permission.

7. Using the site and app

Don't misuse the site or app — for example, don't attempt fraud, interfere with the service, try to access other people's accounts, or collect data automatically. When you send us an enquiry, keep it lawful and respectful. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

8. Our responsibility

We work to keep the site and app available and accurate, but they are provided as they are and may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we're not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Indian law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above, and the terms in force when you place an order apply to that order.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your right as a consumer to approach the consumer commission where you live, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction over disputes about them.
